How FedEx calculates it
FedEx resets its fuel surcharge every Monday. FedEx Ground and Home Delivery use the EIA national on-highway diesel price from the prior week, compared against the published table without rounding. FedEx Express uses the U.S. Gulf Coast jet fuel price. Since June 22, 2026 a single table covers international exports and imports.
FedEx: International export and import tables merged
One unified table now applies both ways. Exports effectively rose about 3.5 percentage points; imports dipped slightly.
FedEx: Ground and Express pivot prices raised
The coarse-step zone now starts at $4.99 diesel (was $3.55) and $3.01 jet fuel (was $2.06), so the surcharge stays higher for longer when fuel falls.
