Based on the EIA U.S. on-highway diesel price, compared without rounding. Each $0.09 step moves the surcharge 0.25 percentage points. Below $3.55 the steps widen to $0.27, so the surcharge falls more slowly when fuel drops. This week’s rate is 26.75%; next week 27.00% (carrier published).
